Vanbrugh300 has been an incredible year of celebration, bringing Sir John Vanbrugh’s extraordinary legacy to life through events and activities across the country.
As the organisation behind the festival, the Georgian Group is immensely proud of what we have achieved together, and we would like to thank everyone who has joined us and helped make it such a success.
The festival has also helped pave the way for an exciting new chapter for the Georgian Group. As we look ahead to our 90th anniversary in 2027, we are delighted to have secured a £242,000 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund for our new two-year Building A Legacy project, made possible with additional support from generous private donors.
Building on the success of Vanbrugh300, the project will bring Georgian heritage to new audiences through events and partnerships across England and Wales. It will also transform how we care for and share our nationally important archives, create volunteering opportunities, launch a new website, and develop an online exhibition and oral history project.
If Vanbrugh300 has inspired you to discover more about Georgian architecture, there has never been a more exciting time to get involved with the Georgian Group. As the charity dedicated to celebrating, protecting and educating people about Georgian architecture, we work to ensure that this remarkable heritage is understood, appreciated and preserved for future generations.
To celebrate the legacy of Vanbrugh300, the Georgian Group has a membership offer of 15 months for the price of 12. For as little as £35, you can become a member and support its work to protect and promote our Georgian heritage. Please visit the Group’s membership page and add the promotional code Vanbrugh300 to take advantage of this offer.
